However, she's long since passed the days where she was content for us to throw it and her to fetch it. She's come to realize it so much more fun for her to keep the ball from us and for us to chase her...
If we get tired of chasing her, she'll lay down with the ball just a tiny bit away from her - teasing us into thinking we can get before she can. As soon as we make any move towards it, she jumps, grabs it and the chase is on again.
I must say I enjoy the game a lot more when I don't actually have to do anything. Oh well...
