Stash Report Week #33...

August 13-19, 2010

After some lackluster stashbusting weeks, this one makes a nice bump in my numbers.  Maybe I can still make my goal of using twice as much fabric as I purchased this year.  There are still 19 weeks left, so we'll see.

I bought a half yard of Bone colored Kona Cotton this week for a project for my mom.  I'll add it this week, expecting it to be out of here by the end of the month.  And that's all I purchased!  Yeah!

And this week saw the completion of several projects.  First I finished making 5 angel gowns for my church.  I had 10 to make, but the rest are on hold right now.  Each gown was serged, hemmed, velcro attached, invisible zippers inserted and size tags added.  The ones I completed were all a size medium and each one used 4.75 yards of fabric - for a total of 23.75 yards!

I also finished my mom's birthday present.  I'm giving it to her tomorrow so I'll share pictures then.  It used 6 yards for the top, backing, binding and hanging sleeve.

So...
Purchased-this-week: .5 yards
Used-this-week: 29.75 yards
Purchased-to-date: 182.25 yards
Used-to-date: 321.5 yards
Net used: 139.25 yards

If I purchased no more fabric for the rest of the year (yeah, like that's going to happen), I would only need to use another 43 yards to meet my goal.  Perhaps I'd better try to finish the other 5 angel gowns sooner rather than later.  They give a nice boost to my used totals.  Plus the remaining gowns are size 2XL and 3XL so that's even more fabric!

Until later...
